Hang 10 Privacy Policy

Hang 10 is a mobile application provided by NAS Automotive Technology, the public-facing business name of Nyx and Selene Automotive Technology.

Hang 10 is intended for use by certified testers participating in California’s Clean Truck Check program. Hang 10 is undergoing certification by the State of California and is not yet publicly released.

This Privacy Policy explains how Hang 10 handles information when you use the app. This policy applies specifically to the Hang 10 mobile application and is separate from the general NAS Automotive Technology website privacy policy.

Hang 10 reads vehicle emissions and diagnostic information from a connected vehicle. This information may include, but is not limited to:

• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• Diagnostic trouble codes
• Emissions-related diagnostic information
• Readiness monitor information
• Vehicle and engine data available through the vehicle’s diagnostic systems
• Certification-related scan results

Hang 10 requires the user to manually enter certain vehicle information, including VIN and license plate information, as part of the certification process.

Hang 10 may store account, licensing, scan, vehicle, certification, and technical information as needed to support app operation, customer service, troubleshooting, research, development, and Clean Truck Check certification activities.

Stored information may include VIN, license plate information, scan results, vehicle diagnostic data, tester account information, and related technical information.

Third-Party Service Providers

NAS Automotive Technology may use secure third-party service providers to support authentication, account management, data storage, licensing, technical operations, analytics, customer support, and related app functions.

These service providers may process information on behalf of NAS Automotive Technology only as needed to provide the services used by the app.

Sale of Information

NAS Automotive Technology does not sell information collected by Hang 10.

Other Sharing of Information

NAS Automotive Technology may share information collected by Hang 10 only in the following situations:

• With CARB, the California Clean Truck Check program, or other authorized government systems as part of certification activities
• With third-party service providers that support app operation, account management, storage, licensing, support, security, or troubleshooting

User Accounts

Hang 10 requires user accounts. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Because Hang 10 is intended to support regulated certification activities, certain account information may be required and may not be optional for users who wish to submit Clean Truck Check certification scans.

NAS Automotive Technology uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by Hang 10. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention

NAS Automotive Technology may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to support certification activities, account administration, customer service, troubleshooting, research and development, legal compliance, and business operations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal, regulatory, operational, or government-program requirements.

Children’s Privacy

Hang 10 is intended for use by certified testers and business users involved in California Clean Truck Check certification activities. It is not directed to children.

NAS Automotive Technology does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Hang 10.
